Day 927... turned into a good day

THE weather was nasty this morning. It was a combination of rain and snow and wind. Blech! I took Cooper for a short walk, then came home to contemplate going for a run. While I was contemplating my dad called and told me to take mom's car to the garage and it would get fixed today. I took this as a sign that I should run despite the crappy weather. So, I drove the car to the garage and ran the two miles home. Well, I ran most of it. At one point it was so windy I had to stop and walk, so I could lean into the wind. I decided that that was enough of that! Am I a bad a$$ or just crazy? At that point I decided to do indoor exercise for the rest of the day. After whipping up a quick lunch I hopped on the rower for almost 90 minutes. My butt was numb. LOL! About 3pm my dad called back to let me know the car was ready to be picked up, and looking out the window I realized the rain had stopped, the clouds had cleared and there were blue skies, so I walked Cooper to the garage and picked up the car. Drove it back to my place and then took Cooper for a long walk, since his morning walk was so short. Part of my procrastinating this afternoon included making a big pot of chili. I figured since it was snowing this morning that it was a good day for it. So, dinner was a big bowl of spicy chili and a slice of sourdough bread... and a cookie from the batch I baked the other day.

With all this activity my tracker says I should eat about 3,500 calories. I don't think I can do it. I have been losing weight again this week, eating about 2,300 calories a day, so I think that is what I will aim for.

So, the day started grumpy and cold, and looks like it will end happy and warm. That means I will call the whole thing a "good day"!

    Awesome that you got in so much great fitness despite the weather. I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago just walking into the wind. I'm crazy for doing that you are just bad a$$ for running in it! Have a great evening.

    I am so glad your "bad" day turned into a good day. Small things to be thankful for can make such a difference in how we feel. I hope tomorrow will be another good day for you.
