Slowly making progress…….

Today I realized I am slowly - okay very slowly, making progress. Controlling my food intake is getting easier. If I am tempted to "cheat", I find it easier to walk away because I don't want to put weight back on after working so hard to take it off. I track every meal and snack every day, and find it fairly easy to stay within my calorie intake. It is harder on days that I am not at home, but I am getting better at making healthy lunches. I am worried how it will go this summer when we travel some and visit with relatives where I don't have control of the food. Hopefully I will have a plan put in place by then.

I have never really liked to exercise, but even that is getting easier. On days that I am tempted to skip the exercise I start to feel guilty. I have been mixing up my exercise using the Sparkpeople videos and several videos I purchased online. Some of them are difficult for me but others are just enough to challenge me while allowing me to feel successful. I know they are working because inches are disappearing off my body and my clothes are slightly loser. That is a great feeling!

The pounds are not going off my body as quickly as I would like or as quickly as they have in the past, but they are going so that works for me. Most importantly, each day I feel healthier and energized. It's a good thing!

    It's a slow process at times no doubt, but you're doing it, and I'm so proud of you!! emoticon emoticon emoticon You are doing what it takes to reach your goals and as long as we don't give up completely who cares how long it take! :) We will eventually form lasting healthy habits from our efforts! emoticon

    Been thinking about new clothes a lot lately. Seriously, my wardrobe is basically black oversized t-shirts and black pants. I think it's gonna be a GOOD Christmas for me this year!! LOL

    You sound like you are making great progress. I understand how it does get easier. I have been doing well with the walking but due to circumstances I missed my walk yesterday and I felt guilty. My daughter told me I needed to rest and missing one day is not going to ruin the progress I have done.
