April Goals

Tuesday, April 08, 2014

1.Start slow-

I always want to overhaul my lifestyle in order to fit a diet. I have decided to make this diet work for my lifestyle. Right now I am focusing on eating healthy (getting in my 5 fruits and veggies, drinking water, working out once a day) not staying within my calories.

2. Exercise for Pleasure-

I am doing Leslie Sansone Walk away the Pounds for 1 month (April 7- May 7). From reading about "Happiness" and watching videos I learned something interesting. That walking does wonders! Not only does walking improve health, cardiovascular ability, and increase endorphins, but it is the only proven physical activity that reduces Alzheimer's and many other physical benefits plus it's a workout I know I can do!

3. Track, Record, Reflect

Sparkpeople has made this easy! Although I am not sticking to a certain number it does help to see what I'm eating and how much I am working out. Reading success stories and blogging allows me to focus on TODAY not fixate on that 100+ pound goal. Then reflecting, if I don't learn from my mistakes or celebrate my successes I'm sure it will be easy to fall back into old habits. So after each week I am going to celebrate what I did right and try to change what I did wrong. My goal is consistency, not perfection!

Here's to an Awesome April!!! emoticon
