Yes, you read that right... I joined a gym. For someone not into formal exercising at all this is something really weird. Now don't expect to see me in torture room anytime soon ~ we joined the gym to have access to the pickle ball court and the pool but who knows...stranger things have happened LOL
Pickle ball is a lot of fun and the bonus is getting a good workout from the running around, swinging the paddle. laughing and working up a good sweat. I know, ladies "glow", but after a few games of pickle ball, I'm dripping.
This past week we were on the court 3 times, the last time just DH and I, playing singles requires a lot more running around, so for the most time we play "kind" shots but hey, we have to practice the scoring shots as well for when we play with other teams. The most important thing is that we are have found a fun activity we can do together.
My eating has been fairly good this week but some of the leftover snacks from the party were my downfall, so no loss for the week, I'm still at 138.2 (have been higher during the week but that evened out again)
We were given some locally caught yellow tail, which resulted in fish ala Veracruzano.
I sauteed the fish in olive oil and topped it with a sauce of onions, garlic, peppers, a few jalepenos (we like spicy) and 1 cup of tomato sauce (2 tomatoes cut up and mushed with the stick blender) A true Veracruzano has olives in it as well but I was out of those.
The rice was plain white rice with some diced carrot and green pepper added for color.
The party snacks are all gone, so this week is back on track!!
