Looks like I didn't get a chance to blog on Friday. it was a VERY busy day. I was really happy when 5 o'clock rolled around. PHEW!
I've gotten some awesome comments back about the Bucket List. I love hearing about other people's bucket lists. It's pretty cool to hear about some of the things that people want to accomplish ... things that make me think about. There are so many thing that each of us are NOT exposed to in our daily lives partly due to where we grew up and live, partly due to how we were raised and what we were exposed to, etc. When my kids were younger, I met some interesting people from different areas who did things, went places or had hobbies that were quite different from us. So, whenever possible, I took my kids to visit those people to see that there's more out there than what is beyond their own back yards. And, as they've gotten older (in their 20's now), I've tried to tell them that NOW, before having kids, if they have a chance to go try something or visit a place they haven't before, to do it. Who knows when they might get that chance again. My Dad once told me that If you have a chance to try something new or go visit a place you've never been before, to just go for it ... do it. if you don't like it, you never have to do it or go there again. But, if you never try, you'll never know ... you might be passing up on what could have been the best thing in your life! I try to apply that to all facets of my life. Anyway, that kind of got me off the track. What I was trying to get at is, reading what other people have on their bucket lists gives me ideas of things I might like to do or try ... something I hadn't really thought about before. The world is full of opportunities ... full of interesting places and things to see ... full of new adventures. Some you might never have heard about or even thought of to try before ... but wouldn't it be fun?
