Sitting is even worse for our health (and fitness) than we thought. emoticon

And even if you do exercise regularly, you still face health risks if you are sedentary for the rest of your day (you know, the other 23 hours you're not working out in the gym). emoticon

On top of these facts, some researchers argue that when it comes to weight loss or weight management, it's not even necessarily the people who "exercise" the most who come out on top. it's the people who are simply more "active" (think on their feet) that tend to be the leanest.

    Was looking at that article this am....I dont get 10k in per day, I have my Spark set to 6k, plus a work out....

I have started getting up every hour at work, from my desk...picking the lock on my ankle restraint, and walking over to the other side of the building to refil my drink cup, then over to visit the ladies room....

Rather than the 30-50 steps from my desk to the break room and potty room just around the corner from my office, I am getting just under 200 steps in, round rip, to go over, I am at least getting 1k in, rather than the barely 250 a day I used to get just here at work.
