Senior College Concert today, BOOGIE-TWO SHOOZ.

Sunday, April 06, 2014

DH and I had lots to do this morning. We usually go early to help set up but I told the committee I have much less time right now. DH and I have completed our commitment but we usually do more.

DH and I took Emily with us. Em. Loves to help taking tickets at the door and helping pouring water in to Dixie cups so they are ready for the intermission. She was well behaved and polite so the other students were all talking to her and she loved it.

The music was not of the Genre an 11 years old can really appreciate but the two female musicians had several synthesizers so they could set back ground music to their own solos.
There were a number of Franco Americans in the audience so there were a couple of songs performed in French and English. I had been hoping a music teacher we met last time to see if she could take another student at this time. Today she was not there. The last time Emily's piano had not arrived so we were waiting till it arrived from Nevada kit took several weeks to get here.
Now her piano is in our living room and it is now TUNED and ready to be played. Her music books were lost but she can play by ear. Our son called her former music teacher and she mailed duplicate books to our house.

After the concert we went to "99" restaurant and I ate my usual "Fit for You" Salmon, Asparagus , Tomatoes and Broccoli. I also had a large salad because I had very little vegetables today. Now I am caught up.

Monday begins week number 6 and still no employment but they are making friends and staying up beat about everything that is going on.

DH and I are trying to support the young folks but we are trying to look after one another. Still no decision to move to NY State we have to wait and see and that is very difficult for me to do. I am a planner and organizer but at this time there is not much I can organize.
Short blog but it is better than no Blog. DH and I need more sleep so we are still trying to get things done during the day.

emoticon Spark Friends we are shutting own now.

Sounds like you are providing Emily with horizon broadening experiences. I do hope you can find a music teacher for her, that is if it's not her and her parents who might be moving to NY.
Last I remembered you were wanting to get up there to see if you could help out. I, like others, am a bit confused.
Continued prayers for you and yours.

It sounds like you are doing a good job of supplying Emily with good experience and are getting back to your normal life more. I think that's positive. Thing will calm down soon and maybe your son will hear about the job he applied for.

Ok, me too! I assume you mean DS and family would move to NY?

Sounds like the concert was wonderful. So glad that your granddaughter is enjoying being involved with your activities. That's admirable for an 11 yr. old!

HUGS and hope it's a good day today.
