Protein drink recomendations

After reviewing my nutrition logs, I've found that my worst binges tend to be on hectic days. It also shows that when I consume more protein in the afternoon, I do better. I work two jobs and may not eat or even carry food in the work zone and breaks are few and far between. However, I can have beverages while working. I'd like to try one of the many protein-dense drinks that are pre-packaged as they'll be living in my work locker until needed.

Do you have a favorite? If so, what flavor? Have you tried any you didn't care for?

Let's all agree that fresh and not packaged would be better for us. However, that's not an option in this case.

    I use GNC's wheybolic brand protein drink. I've had both the chocolate and vanilla, and they're decent. The recommended serving is 3 scoops in 12 oz of water, but I usually do 1 scoop. It's 20 g protein per school and only like 4 carbs. I will usually brew some coffee, let it sit and cool for at least 10 minutes, then add 1/4 cup of skim milk, 1 scoop of powder, and a bunch of ice and make a quick iced coffee. Bam. Caffeine and protein in one shot.

    I make a really simple one, put it in an insulated cup, and take it with me.
It's just 1 cup skim milk, about 3/4 cup Greek yogurt (usually fat-free), 1/2 to 1 scoop protein powder, 1 serving fiber powder (equate or metamucil), and 1 cup of frozen berries of your choice. Sometimes I freeze and chop a banana and use that instead of the berries. (I use the frozen fruit instead of ice and buy the unsweetened variety).

    I looooove Odwalla's Chocolate Protein Monster. It's not a hardcore protein drink, but it's a good step for someone in my place on the journey and it's so delicious!

    I'm always low on protein and like you the afternoons just before I get ready to go home are the worst. I have to watch out for after work food binges.

I love Trader Joe's Whey Protein Powder / Chocolate
2 scoops
Cals: 130
Total Fat: 2g.
Carbs: 11g.
Protein: 17g.

Mix it with 1/2 cup water. (Mixes easily.) I use more water and it still tastes good. You can also use milk if you want.
I measure it out in baggies for work.

A 16 oz. container costs about $11.00.

    I'm interested in this blog since I have discovered through my tracking that I am only getting half of the recommended protien each day. I can't tolerate most artificial sweeteners so I don't drink much other than milk or water. I found a Sport to Go vanilla and chocolate drink and I'm looking for more but haven't had any success as of yet..
