Chocolate cravings have been very bad today....

Sunday, April 06, 2014

so I am making a 5-minute chocolate cake for two.

I don't have a microwave so I put it in a 5 " round Corningware ramekin and will be baking it in my toaster oven for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees F. Since I like frosting with my cake, I am going to put some liquid Stevia with cream cheese (4 T for 2 people), cocoa (maybe 2 T) and a splash of vanilla for "icing" since cream will give me a protein boost without all of the sugar.

What do you do when your chocolate cravings are really bad?

Epilogue: The cake did turn out okay. I think that I will use more cocoa next time. I had to bake it for 30 minutes. I forgot to spray it with cooking spray first so I had to dig it out. My carb cravings have been really bad afterwards, though. Even into the next day. I just see a picture of fresh baked bread and my cravings are intense. I will try some of the suggestions that you guys gave me in the future. I can't do the miniature bars, though I like the idea. In the past I could each a whole package and I don't want to go back there again. I ended up using Monk fruit sweetener instead of Stevia in the "frosting." It wasn't bitter like Stevia.

Ditto on the hot chocolate! Also...pudding pops or something from the ice cream aisle that is low calorie

I make a microwave 3-2-1 cake these days, but I have had bought and frozen the packages of little Hershey's candy bars. I do better if they are individually wrapped; if I am unwrapping one of those huge bars, I don't seem to leave the rest alone until the next day. If I have individually wrapped miniatures, I am okay with one per day.

I am a reformed chocolateholic. I would start, continue and end my days with chocolate. I'd have it at least 5 times a day.

One day I sincerely wanted to be rid of the monkey on my back named chocolate. Instantly I was over it.

When cravings are so bad I can't dismiss them, I'll have hot cocoa if it's cold out, or chocolate milk. Your cake though, sounds good.
