Easter Treats Battle

Sunday, April 06, 2014

Easter woud'nt be so bad for your diet if kids were'nt around. Dont get me wrong,my kids are my life, but part of my life is SUCKING because of my weight. And all of the stuff the stores put out for Easter is a killer. REALLY.

Oh...the creme eggs....BOCK BOCK

The overpopulation of multicolored peep bunnies and chicks

Big Chocolate eggs??? OH LORDY!!!!!

It's like a SPRING HALLOWEEN....too much candy is spooky

..and that's all I have to say....about that

I love your blog, I haven';t tried putting the peeps in the microwave, maybe next year, or not. Michael just put some in hi ice cream.

    Yes, it's crazy.
Microwaving peeps is fun, but you gotta watch them so they don't explode.

Jlaming263----you hit the nail on the head. One other advice for those weak moments at the store. Buy a bar, not a bag, or a bag of bars! emoticon

I'm glad I don't like those creme eggs -- I'll buy those, lol. I actually do home made goodies for my kids. I have a yummy cherry almond clusters recipe that I make with chopped dried cherries, chopped raw almonds and melted dark chocolate. They are so good. Then I put some other odds and ends in there or else I go to our local chocolateteer (did I spell that right?) and buy a small amount of very quality chocolate that way it doesn't get choked down and enjoyed. good luck surviving! emoticon

Oh my goodness - you guys have such a huge assortment of Peeps where you live! We get the yellow ones, and sometimes the pink, but not the huge array that was in that picture!

Oh how I can understand! Every time I go to the store this is all I see - and I love chocolate covered eggs and marshmallow peeps! It is a constant battle to turn away from them and to remember what eating them will do to my health, not to even mention my attempt at getting these extra pounds off. I just know that I can't give in because I am not strong enough to eat just one!

I wish I could get the marshmallow eggs covered in chocolate in NOT a whole dozen! I have to avoid them completely because I'd eat the whole entire thing in one go :(

You can do this. Besides, the Easter chocolate tends to taste cheap. If you are going to give in and have some chocolate, buy some good chocolate and really enjoy it. Portion control. It's well worth it.

Make yourself a fruit basket for Easter, and close your eyes or turn your head the other way when you see candy on Easter. emoticon emoticon

If you don't buy it it will not be a battle. The battle happens in the store, not in my home.
