Fever. Sore throat. Achy. Not happy.
I hate getting sick on the weekends, but it is better than trying to teach when feeling as bad as I have this weekend. I am grateful that I have had a few good patches which allowed me to feel well enough to go grocery shopping to stock up on fruits and veggies. I will be heading to the doctor post haste.
I also weighed myself in the morning and lost 3 pounds this first week. More than I could have hoped for. It’s a good start. That being said, even though I will weigh myself on a weekly basis, it’s not my only form of measurement on how this project is going.
Here’s to week 2!
Took myself off to the doctor yesterday morning. Temperature was only 101F…and that was a low point…I know it was higher at other times, just didn’t have any way to take my own temp. She gave me an antibiotic and some other meds to help with the symptoms I’ve been having. They definitely helped get through teaching yesterday.
On the one hand, I definitely have been eating less but also not meeting my water goal as it just hurts too much to swallow. I did have my first real meal for dinner in about 2 days…I could only finish about half.
Hopefully over the next couple of days, my temperature will get back to normal and I will get back to my regular routine of walking and exercising, and a normal night’s sleep.
