Wow! 5 days in a row!!!

I am so proud of myself. I have stuck to my plan for 5 days straight!!! YAY!!! I cant exercise yet, due to knee pain, but I do get my knee shots on Monday, so by Wednesday I should be able to. I cant wait to incorporate exercise into my plan of my new lifestyle. It hasnt been easy.. Drinking the water when I am used to soda.. ( BTW I havent had a soda in 5 days!!) And its been a chore cramming more fruits and veggies into my meals and less processed foods, which is my norm.. But I know I can do this. I am worth it. I just keep telling myself that over and over... IM WORTH IT!!! I have a big week end planned.. Im gonna do my best to make good choices. Wish me luck!! emoticon

    I've read several articles lately about how monitoring your food is more important than exercise. Not saying exercise isn't important but people are able to lose weight by just monitoring calories. Just keep that in mind if you're ever feeling down about not being able to exercise. I use that thought to keep myself motivated to eat healthy on days where my feet aren't allowing me to get in my normal walk. I just keep telling myself how important it is for my health to focus on what I can accomplish that day even if I don't exercise.

    Wow, that is so great. I had a hard time working out due to a bum knee too. I started out only doing 5-10 minutes on an elliptical. The treadmill hurts my knees so bad. Now I am doing 35-40 minutes on the elliptical. I also do group fitness at my gym like zumba, kettlebells class, cycling, and pound class. Pound uses weighted drumsticks and lots of cardio for and hour. I now crave movement. Just start slowly and don't burn yourself out. Cokes were hard for me to cut out. I drank one yesterday after not having one for more than a month and it made my stomach hurt. Back to water for me. Good luck and great job so far. emoticon emoticon

    Are you my long lost sister or something? lol I just started a new plan too 2 days ago. Doctors orders 1700 calorie diet. I've stuck to my plan and also eliminated pepsi. I did have coffee with sugar in it today but it will be the only sugar I have and I only had that so I would not end my day with caffeine withdrawal. I do have slight knee pain also but it's only after I do a work out and it's never constant but I have issues with my lower back. It hurts after about 10 minutes of standing/walking etc. I understand about cramming in more fruits and vegetables. Before I was lucky if I ate one and now they want me to eat 5 or more! haha

You should be proud of yourself! Sounds like you are doing a fantastic job! Keep up the good work!

    You definitely ARE worth it! Soda is a hard thing for me too, but it is worth going without when I see the results!!

You can do it all again next week, and little by little it will get easier for you!
