Let my guard down just a taste...

Wow! I made it back to the safety of my Spark! What an experience with dining away from home, not tracking my food and what a relief to make it back safely. I am so ready to start the Spring 5% challenge on Saturday. I have tried to side step the fact that beverages with calories is my ongoing weakness. Personally beginning today 4-4, my goal for the next 90 days is to avoid any beverages with calories. Only exception, things that make health sense, say, cucumber water and smoothies. Open to suggestions! So far I am ready to go!

Have you been keeping Spark fitness notes? I got a treadmill a little over a year and a half ago and have been tracking my 5k times. Finally looked at the notes today and got a huge shot in the arm to continue to push my fitness levels. Here are some of my notes:

2-28-13 ~ 46:20 ~ first record
3-23-13 ~ 53:10 ~ pushed too hard at first, little set back
4-5-13 ~ 43:10
4-4-14 ~ 33:54

I am very grateful to Spark for making it so easy to track my progress.

For the Spring 5% challenge I will follow the Mediterranean Diet plan (minus the red wine). My fitness plan is outlined on my Spark page. My Spark friend and teammate, Grammamary inspired me to start and Easter 5K Sunrise walk/run. Thank you Mary!

Looking forward to Rockin' the Spring Challenge in the SUDS kennel and getting to know all the Pups and Dawgs better! Only one day to wait before we take off ~ Woo HOO!

    HI Sweetie I ALWAYS also track BOTH my FITNESS AND NUTRITIONAL goals,, and where it is I am at ,, for the time. It iS FUN to look back and SEE PROGRESS !!

I have a TERRIFIC suggestion for a 0 cal drink,, it's FLAVORED SPARKLING WATER !! it's like drinking SODA that's just has a berry flavor and it IS 0 cals !! WOOHOOO !! That's why I do NOT miss soda !! YEAH !! YEAH !! YEAH !!

LETS GOOOO DAWGGIES GOOOO !! ur time is REMARKABLE !! such a CHANGE SOOO QUICKLY !! PLX

    emoticon I only drink water and protein shakes. That's the only way I can be sure not to get any extra unnecessary calories from my beverages.
