Normally Thursday is one of my favorite weekdays. On Thursday's our home golf course hold a captain's choice tournament and we have 30 t0 50 players. Yesterday it was cloudy , but, according to our weatherman the rain that was showing on our weather map was way high and would never reach the ground. We had played only two holes until he was proved wrong! Yep....
We are diehard golfers so out comes the rain gear
and we continue. On the next hole I realized I had forgotten to bring my Fitbit Zip.
This is major for I usually have most or all of my 10,000 daily steps when we complete 18 holes. I called my husband and asked if he could please come , bring Zip, and get a cart and come on the golf course and bring it to me. He reminded me he wasn't home but in a town near us.
Since we live next door to the golf course I was able to run home at the 9 hole turn and get the Zip.
I walked all I could on the back nine and only got 7,000. All ended well however, because when my DD came over for the visit we had planned to carry my mother out to dinner DD mentioned she had not had time to get her daily run in. We decided there would be enough daylight left after the visit with Mom to go to the park. We walked 1.5 miles in 35 minutes and both felt better. At the end of day I had over 14,000 steps on the tracker and burned 1940 calories.
