South Beach Diet -- Phase 1.5, Day 11 -- Girls Night Out

Went to the riverwalk again today, but chose to go in a different direction. It was nice to have a change of scenery. I would LOVE to get a bike, so I can bike that entire riverwalk. I think that would be super! I'm going to do it as soon as I can.
After my walk, I came home, showered, and had dinner with my family. We had a MUCH more pleasant evening than we did last night. Husband picked up a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store on his way home. I warmed up some leftover potatoes for Daughter, and steamed a bag of green beans. Dinner was ready in no time at all. I wanted to do something quick tonight because I had bought tickets for a play tonight. After dinner, Daughter and I went to the play. We saw Tarzan (a musical). It was great! We had a wonderful time. Tarzan had a great bod. Even though he's a guy, it was very inspirational! I can be inspired by anyone who looks fit. Three of my nieces were in it, too. They were jungle flowers. We had a lot of fun.
Here's today's run-down:
Breakfast: two golden eggs, two turkey sausage patties, almond milk.
Lunch: turkey & pinto bean "taco" filling, baby carrots, skim milk.
Snack: 100 calorie pack of mixed nuts (almonds & walnuts), string cheese.
Dinner: rotisserie chicken breast, steamed green beans, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray, lime La Croix.
Activity: 35 minute walk at the riverwalk.
I'm really feeling so much better about myself. I'm beginning to see subtle changes in my body. I'm getting a little sun from taking these walks (and from being outside on the playground for an hour each day). I'm feeling in control, and I haven't felt that way in FAR too long. I'm so grateful to have had a nice day with my family, after the rough day we had yesterday...and I'm even more grateful that those rough days are few and far between.
Got home after 9:30, which is WAY past my getting-in-bed bedtime. Signing off.
