I Did What I Needed To

My oldest DD posted a bunch of furniture on Craigslist a couple of days ago, and because I'm off this week I have been the go-to for the people coming to see the stuff. Today there was some coming at 4PM and another couple at 6:30PM so I packed my exercise shoes and a Perry Mason DVD and off I went. I felt a little silly (and her cat was really keeping an eye on me) but I ran in place for an entire Perry Mason episode in her living room while waiting for people to show. I'm pretty pleased with myself that I actually did what I intended to do when I could have just plopped on her sofa and watched Perry instead.
I also got to walk outside early this morning and finished just as the freezing rain was starting. It was lovely. I considered walking just a bit longer but I'm glad I stopped when I did because it did become pretty slick pretty quickly. I long to ride my bike though. I think about it constantly and am hoping that I can get it out in a couple more weeks.
Tomorrow I'm heading out in search of some dress pants. Keep your fingers crossed that I can find something.
I will leave you with a saying I saw on Facebook today -
"If you cannot find a good companion to walk with, walk alone, like an elephant roaming the jungle. It is better to be alone than to be with those who will hinder your progress." -Buddha
