The American Heart Assn had a walk at work today for national Walking Day. I took park. The route was a little over a mile around our building. There's slight uphill to part of it. We did it in 30 mins (we weren't trying to set any land speed records here
). That added like 3-4K steps to my FitBit total for the day. Right now I'm at 13,137 steps so far today. I'll add a bit more before bed.
I already had 9K steps after my treadmill workout at lunch.
I'm going to do the treadmill all month at work. We're doing a 4 week walking Challenge. I'll log my mins walking everyday and then maybe win a prize at the end of the month.
I will try to add something else at home. Maybe some Xbox workouts..or maybe a Spark video. Should be a fun month!
I was up a bit on the weight thing this morning, but dinner was loaded with sodium so I'm hoping that was water weight. I made Mushroom burger patties over white rice. I had two slices of Ultra Thin Cheese on mine. But I didn't snack as I cooked last night. It was a struggle not to..but I didn't! Tonight I'm doing some leftover meatloaf with mashed taters.
Thoughts for those at Ft Hood in TX. So sad that this continues to happen.
