Recently I had to have a tooth pulled. For the first 24 hours I lived on liquids and soft foods. Then
I stayed away from raw vegetables and fruits, especially the ones with seeds or strings such as strawberries or celery. I didn't want to get things caught in that "Grand Canyon" in my mouth.
It will be a while before I get a replacement for that missing tooth, so I'm just chewing on one side of my mouth and I'm finding it takes me much longer to eat a meal and I'm enjoying it less.
I'm trying to look on the bright side and tell myself that it's probably a good thing not to be tempted by things like candy and nuts that could get stuck in that hole in my mouth. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised next time I step on the scale. I weigh only once a week, so I'll keep you posted on my progress.
