Positive Attitude

Tuesday, April 01, 2014

Here we are at the first of April, and 2 weeks since I came back to SP. For the first time since I started, I stepped on the scales. After 2 weeks, I'm down a whole 1/2 pound. I am so disappointed with this. I have tracked my food, stayed within my limits, started exercising, everything I'm supposed to be doing.

On the upside, I'm starting to feel better. I get out of bed feeling much more energized. I guess I just have to keep reminding myself that my weight is only a number, and it will eventually go down.

I've decided to set some goals for April. As I was trying to figure out how to set up goals that were realistic, yet attainable (no easy task), I came across the following:

I am going to post this in both my office and the kitchen as a constant reminder of what I should be doing. I will read it every day, I will keep a positive attitude, and I will do this!!

Wishing everyone a wonderful, joy filled day!

Girl take that 1/2 pound and treasure it. If you loose 1/2 lb for the next 4 months that's 8lbs. I been here just over a year and I did great at first I lost like 15lbs and then.....like I am now like back to square 1 - all 15 back on. I've lost 4lbs recently and this week's weigh in was 0. I had to get radical to lose the lbs. But you got a plan - gotta work it.

That's right. The scale is only ONE weigh of measuring your progress. You have more energy. That, to me, is a huge NSV. That's the first one I experienced when I started this journey. It never gets old!

Keep up the good work.

I've had the same issue last week but don't let it get to you, just keep on eating clean and exercising and as you said your weight will drop eventually !

The key is to stay positive and not think about the numbers. In the challenge I did in the winter, I realized that losing the lbs. was the least of my successes. Find the success in being consistent - tracking my nutrition, exercising at least 30 mins. everyday, participating in the challenge's threads - was what worked for me.

Good luck! We all know you can do it. Do you?

A 1/2 lb. gone is better than one gained. Your body may just need time to adjust to the changes you have made, so please be patient and keep doing all the right things and it'll happen.

I am not losing fast either. Two things. 1. If we are eating healthy they can't take the nutrients away, and 2. If we are exercising they can't take those health benefits away. Sounds like your head is in a really good place.
