This has certainly been an interesting week for my goals and streaks and the corresponding stars on my calendar. I made my water and exercise goals every day, missed the freggie goal on only one day and made 5 out 7 days a gold star day. The eating breakfast at home goal still eludes me but it has gotten much better.
My streak for exercising every day is now at 20 days including today. I really like the Leslie Sansone "Just Walk" DVD that I picked up. I can do either the routines already made up or custom mix parts to suit my mood and ability. I haven't even seen/done all the parts yet so I'm motivated to do something different every day until I get a routine I will do over and over. (Although the variety keeps me moving and interested.)
I currently have a 4 day streak of gold stars and met my goal of 6 by the end of the month. I'm downloading pherrell Williams' song "Happy" as my reward. I love that song and it makes me....well, HAPPY. I'll be sure to add it to my play list for listening to while I walk. I might even put it on repeat a few times just to get my feet really moving.
New month, new goals? I'm tempted to add another but I'm going to hold off for now. I want to get my current goals to 30 day streaks so I can claim them as habits before moving ahead. While I like my gold star streak, I don't want to put too much pressure on myself that I feel like I've failed when I don't get them. One day, I'll make it an official streak but, for now, my goals for this week are:
1) Continue water drinking steak (8+ cups per day)
2) Continue exercise streak (@ 20+minutes per day)
3) Keep up the freggie streak (4+ freggies per day)
4) Eat breakfast at home
Goal for the month: Get 12 out of 30 gold star days to get a new piece of jewelry.
