One of the fitness articles on SP suggests that we turn out house cleaning into a workout. Housework can burn calories if you do it right. Just 30 minutes of moderate activity can have legitimate health benefits. Hmn...since it takes 2 to 4 hours to moderately clean my house what have I got to lose?
When you dust don't just stroll around and flip the duster here and there. I can remedy that by spraying the furniture , then scrubbing hard and repeating until I can see myself in the shine.
When you vacuum, perform some lunges.
How about a little kickboxing as we go?
Now mopping can really get me moving!
I have to be honest though and admit I would rather get the housework done in record time and have time to get in a good walk or run outside.
