NEW LIGHT, NEW PATH

WELL, YESTERDAY I JOINED ANOTHER TEAM, AND I THINK I'M UP FOR THE CHALLENGE THEY ARE DOING. IT'S NOT JUST A WALKING CHALLENGE, BUT ALSO DANCING AND THINGS, WHICH I LOVE TO DO. WELL FOLKS, ME WEIGHING IN LAST WEEK AT 187 REALLY GOT TO ME, AND MY DOCTOR IS WORRIED ABOUT MY HEART AS WELL AS I'M GETTING BIGGER AND ALL. MY HIGHEST WEIGHT WAS 210 LIKE 3-4 YRS AGO. I AM GOING TO THE GYM, MAYBE NOT AS OFTEN AS I SHOULD, BUT AT LEAST I'M GETTING OFF MY LAZY YOU KNOW WHAT AND DOING SOMETHING. THE WALKING/DANCING CHALLENGE WILL HELP ME DO MORE, AND AS MY PHYCHE DOC WANTS ME TO GO FOR WHAT SHE CALLS MINDFULLNESS WALKS. DO TWO THINGS AT ONCE. YEAH, I THINK THAT BY DRINKING MY WATER EATING GOOD FOOD, NOT JUNK, AND WALKING/DANCING I'M GOING TO LOSE WHAT I THINK WILL BE A TON OF EXTRA BAGGAGE I DON'T WANT OR NEED.     I AM SICK OF THIS WEATHER. TODAY WE HAD BOTH SLEET AND SNOW. NONE OF IT STUCK, AND THE WIND, OMG I THOUGHT WE WERE HAVING A HURRICANE. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR COMMENTING ON THIS BLOG. JUDITH I WILL CHECK OUT THE APRIL CHALLENGE FOR SHINING FOR JESUS. THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW ABOUT THAT.     There is something to those mindful walks. When the weather is nice, I go outside and just wander the neighborhood. Sometimes I count my steps, I look at how houses are kept up and decorated, I talk to people along the way, I let whatever happens happen. I feel so much better when I get back.

The weather this winter has been terrible. It seems everybody I talk to is fed up with it and in down spirits. I can't wait for the weather to warm up. I think I will take your advice, put some music on and dance today.

I cheer you on for a fabulous week, I also encourage you to join our Team Challenge for April @ Shining for Jesus Team, I also have a Mini Team Challenge for losing between 3 and 5 pounds.
