Gardening and tatting today
Sunday, March 30, 2014
This morning while it was still cool I planted four tomatoe plants. They are all heirloom. Then I trimmed the ice plant from the wall and made a huge pile of refuse. When it got cool in the afternoon, I went up to the top of the hillside several times adding new top soil. Then I planted iceplant in the patches that were barren.
I pulled a few weeds. There actually weren't that many!
A couple of crabgrass plants tried to come back.
I am still working on empting the composter...that was exercise.
In the middle of the day I worked on making a new heart pattern. I am going to call it the St. Patty's Day Heart because it will have clover in it. I figure when I make the diagrams and instructions for 12 new hearts I will make a book and publish it.
