RPAH Elimination Diet: Days 1 & 2

I found out about the RPAH elimination diet for people with food intolerances last week and I've created a list of recipes and a shopping list. I cut out alcohol and tea before I started the diet. I didn't want to mistake any sort of withdrawal as a symptom. I went shopping yesterday (boy was that a crazy experience!) and had my first whole day eating nothing but food that does not contain sulfites, amines, or glutamates (SAGs). Everything was fine through breakfast and lunch which was homemade bread and peeled Bartlett pears. But right after I ate a dinner of brown rice, chicken breast, and green beans, I got a pain on my lower right side and started to get heart palpitations. I had some minor itchiness in the evening but no hives. I was also tired and foggy all day. I feel better today after lunch and I'm planning on making potato leek soup tonight. I thought I'd go vegan in case it was histamine in the chicken that gave me a reaction. I also plan on shopping at a different store tomorrow, one that has better quality meat and produce and a bigger gluten free section. After my next shopping trip I'll be ready to be dairy- and gluten-free. Oh, and I lost a couple of pounds!
