5% Spring Challenge Assignment 7 - Triggers

I have several triggers. My husband travels for his job so I am often home alone in the evening. I get bored and lonely and eat for something to do. Instead of eating mindlessly I will find something to do instead. I will spend part of the evening cleaning. I can also play my keyboard or work on a puzzle.

Certain foods are also triggers. I can't have certain foods in the house or I will eat the until they are gone. These include cheese puffs, homemade cookies or brownies. This is easy to avoid. Just don't buy the cheese puffs. When I want to bake, I can bake only a few cookies and freeze the rest of the dough.

A big part of my problem is my mindset. When I am focused and weigh or measure everything I can stay in track. I just need to find my focus again.

    You know, I have set cookies in freezer after baking but I haven't thought to freeze the dough. That is very smart way to do it, otherwise I would just eat frozen cookies.

    I used to be like this also! I'm very proud of myself since Valentines. Haven't had any unhealthy snacks since then. My way around this was to not have those things in the house, but also have things like cut up celery and carrots on hand. And sometimes, anymore, if I want an after dinner snack, I have a little bit of cottage cheese or some yogurt with fruit. I found that fruit was a BIG help with laying off the sweet snacks! And for salty, I have a can of cashews handy. Much better than what I used to eat...Reece cups, Reece cups, Reece cups!! lol!
