Wk 155 Weigh In

Saturday, March 29, 2014

Last week I had said that I didn't post a loss, but that there was always next week. I probably shouldn't have said that...

This week started out well enough, I was plodding along nicely. I figured I was on track for at least a small loss. Then BAM! fast food burgers and fries on Wednesday, then BAM! big breakfast for dinner on Thursday. On Friday it looked like I might still have a slim chance of at least breaking even again. So Friday, I'm busy with little things and I just didn't eat much (took in just over 800 calories and 9 glasses of water). So I thought, "well, we shall see what tomorrow brings".

Somehow I gained weight between Friday morning and Saturday morning. There was no high sodium anything eaten on Friday! So what I thought on Friday morning about having a chance to break even turned into a huge gain on Saturday.

Here's the numbers:

Weight : 225.4
Gain : 3.8
Total : 94.6

As I've said before "there's always next week"... hopefully that doesn't mean that I'll gain another 4 lbs next week!

Enjoy your weekend, I'm going to try and enjoy mine :)

I'm really proud of you for posting these numbers. Too often people (myself included) feel so ashamed when things don't go as planned and they don't like to admit that they gained a little weight or had a setback. It's a shame really, because those are the things that make us human! We ALL have had these weeks along the way. We have struggled and made poor choices and I think it's so refreshing to see I'm not alone in this - so thank you for sharing your journey truthfully with us :)

AND NOW IT'S TIME TO GET BACK ON TRACK! Next week you'll post a BIG LOSS. Right? ;)

We all have those ups and downs in scale weight, at least I do. But it's how you feel, and if you can make a positive out of the negative...Thanks for sharing emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hmmmm it looks so strange I think it will all be gone next week, I am not worried! All gone + a loss too! I might give you some boxing gloves again if it helps!

I'm just not completely sold on the belief of that 3.8 gain - Believing, instead, that this figure is actually less, but due to whatever forces are at work, the universal God of scales, perhaps, you are given this cruel bucket of cold water over your head in order to shock you into better behavior. emoticon

Still, by going with that figure of 3.8, and especially if it is wrong, which I believe that it is, your next weigh-in, provided that you are good each day this week, will most like be a great moral booster, since you will have lost more than you typically lose in a GOOD week.

OK, done analyzing. Just get yourself back to the business at hand. emoticon

you do know I hope that it sometimes take 48 hours to get the full impact of what we've done? That and I'm starting to think that weighting too often seems to be dangerous. I notice that it sometimes make me cocky and I end up gaining instead of at least stalling. Somewhere in my head I "know" I can bring it down in one day... I don't think it works that way.....
You can do better I know it and you know it. we just need to want it bad enough I guess

4 lbs in a week is most likely not a true gain, chin up.

As long as you post I don't care if it's up or down:)

It's like your posts are 'true and honorable and sometimes fun and others painful' and it helps to know there are people who are just doing their best every day and taking the numbers in their stride.

Birthdays are "get out of jail free cards!!!" hope yours is great.

Before I become a best selling author with my 3.6.9 diet you can get it here first right at the source! lol It's not a proven winner YET but I think I found my calling...writing diet books. emoticon

Earth hour is the hour once a year you go and return all your Scotch bottles to the recycling plant. emoticon

That being said I need to stop being so saucy and tell you I hope you don't gain again next week but since there will be BIRTHDAY celebrations...I think you have to be extra good.

I noticed you said that some days you eat really late and 800 diet book editor and I think that might be the problem. emoticon
