A few days ago my husband suggested we have deep dish pizza for dinner. We have found a frozen one that is not too bad. My initial reaction was no way. I can't afford to eat that. But the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to have some.
So I decided to figure out how it could be included in my meal plan. Typically when I eat pizza, I have a hard time stopping at just one serving. The little pizza we had said it serves 8 and I usually eat half!! YIKES!!
But I really wanted to make it work. So for lunch I ate some fruit and vegetables. Then for dinner, I made myself a big salad with lots of vegetables. Then I added some chicken breast for some added protein and help fill me up.
I am happy to say the plan worked well. I ate most of my salad before I started on the pizza. I threw much of the crust in the trash after having eaten the top part. I was able to eat half the amount of pizza that I usually do and felt satisfied!!
