I was so happy to read all of your nice comments.

I figure I have done a whole lot of early SPRING CLEANING so I am ahead of the game this year. I had DH appointment and then to my camera class DH picked me up and we needed his prescription.
TV man came so I went out to buy some curtain hooks and make a light block for the window in the basement it is a big window not the small basement slots. There was nothing available in the correct size so I will have to make them too.

I am trying to make the small dog a coat but she is part miniature Doberman so she has big shoulders. I did try to measure her bust but I made it too small. What a hoot. I had more fun with that ill fitting coat. The dog thought it was a dancing costume. It is one of those little dogs with huge eyes and ears and prancing around like a Ballerina. She can walk upright for a very long time.
DH is not impressed with her. She cant help how she looks I think she looks very cute.
I need to go to bed earlier Dr's. orders. So I am trying for no later than 11pm.

HUGS Pat in Maine. I noticed I missed yesterday so this is a short second one THanks Pat.

I bet she looked cute in her new coat!! She will probably appreciate it more than you know. My short haired wore a coat too out in the winter especially when he got older - I guess it helped his arthritis in his hips. When it was below zero he liked to wear it in the house too...guess it was a bit colder down where he did his walking around. Never could teach him to wear the boots I bought to keep the mud off my carpets in the spring. Just stood lifting his feet and wouldn't walk. Looked at me like I was crazy! emoticon

My DGD has a tortoisehell cat and with her markings she is so ugly, she's cute. Good luck with the dog coat.

Pat, glad you are sounding better. I like to sew but by hand. I do know how to use a machine but I do that if I want to get something done right now. HUGS, Terry

I think getting the spring cleaning out of the way is a great idea.

Not easy to make a coat for a dog I'm sure. I know you will nail it.

Hopefully your hubby will warm up to the dogs. You seem to be doing a lot of their care. You never know. Your family may move out and leave the dogs. It happens to a lot of us. LOL. emoticon

Sounds like you are having fun with the dog even if Fred is not! I just bet that dog is really cute and loves the coat you made. You are so talented. None of the women in my family can sew a stitch. My daughters had big problems with sewing in middle school and had to have the teacher finish all their projects. My son did not though. That was one of his electives in his trade school for auto body repair. He took auto interiors and had to sew a car seat for installation. He did great and his instructors told him it was one of the best ones they had ever seen. And he had to use a big industrial sewing machine. Go figure!! I made curtains once for the kitchen in an apartment we lived in in an old farm house years ago. I used my cousin's sewing machine and ended up ruining it and had to go buy her a new one. That was the end of my sewing days. It was in the early 70s and I was in my Earth Mother phase. Even baked my own bread back then. Ahhhh those were the days!!!'

It seems like everything is settling into place!!! It takes a while and I am sure you and Fred are enjoying your granddaughter!!

    Have a fabulous Friday!!

Oh my goodness, so much to get used to and deal with even without the plumbing problems. You have such a great attitude about life I'm confident it will all come together. There is an old story about a man who complains his house is too small so he goes to the wise man on the hill who says "I can help you but you must do exacle as I say". The man agrees. "First invite your sister and her family to come live with you". So the man goes home and tells his sister and her husband and her children to come and live in his house. After a week he can hardly stand it because there is just no room so he returns to the wise man and says "my house is too small, this is not helping!" and the wise man says "Go home and invite your neighbour and his family to come live with you". The man is astonished at this suggestion but the wise man closes his eyes and he returns home and invites his neighbour to come. This time it is only a few day and with everyone on top of each other the man goes back tot he wise man and says "we cannot live like this, the house is too small" and the wise man says bring all your chickens and livestock into the house. The man is dumbfounded but the wise man nods his head and the man returns home and brings his livestock and chickens into the house. After only one day the man cannot stand it. He goes back to the wise man and says "My house is too small, I cannot live there any more!" And the wise man says, now take the livestock and chickens out, send your neighbour home, send your sister and her family home. The man goes home and does as he is told... and he stands in his house for a minute and appreciates how truly big his house is.
