Day 0/66: Zen day

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

What a fantastic way to end my 2.5 weeks off before going back to work tomorrow.

Stray kitty - neutered and possibly has a home. We'll see. He recovered great and is just a wonderful boy!

I'm prepared for work tomorrow - clothes out and bags packed to stay with my folks until Saturday.

I took a two-hour nap followed by a WONDERFUL bath. I don't exactly have the kind of bathtub that says - soak in me! It is generic and old and if I don't clean it constantly it gets grimy. So even though it was clean I gave it a good clean with bleach and then had a nice bath. I like to shut the lights off and light is so relaxing. I feel so relaxed. I think I need to do this more often on my days off. Now I'm feeling clean and put on some coconut body butter. I feel very relaxed.

What does Day 0/66 mean? It is 66 days until I start my new job. I think that will provide a nice, solid countdown and personal challenge. I would like to be at or below 175 by the time I begin my new job.

I hope everyone is having a nice week!

It is a great idea (and escape). I take a bath usually w/ a good book to escape…from the teenage drama (16 y.o. dd) in the house and the spouse situation not going well. I lock that door & they all go away. emoticon

That is so great you already neutered him and have a possible home. He sure ended up on the right stoop. I love lighting candles and taking a bath with my Regina Spektor pandora station on.

He's a good looking kitty. It should be easy to get him a good home.

I love baths. I take one twice a day. I'm sure some people think it is a waste of time but it's hydrotherapy for me. I'm a beast without my bath. LOL.

Oh man, that bath sounds amazing -- I have to clean our tub too (sigh). Before we got our new well the water was rusty and the tub just looks like a mess, I've tried everything! I'm so excited for your new job. I have so much enthusiasm for something not even my own haha. I think it's just because I really understand the walking on eggshells and dodging people at work because they are so degrading or unpredictable. YUCK! Best of luck to Mr. handsome kitty. Hope you have a great day!

Possibly has a new home? You're not going to keep him? Or maybe that's what you meant. Did you neuter him at home or take him in? Does the state require that you do things like that in the clinical environment? I guess that's a silly question as you don't have equipment and sterile environment at home.
