Back in America!

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Well, we are in American!!! Woo hoo. We made it to San Antonio without too much trouble. Got the import sticker for the Honda turned in so now it's an official American car again....first time in like 8 years.
cold and rainy here though...not used to that...pulling out some sweatshirt and socks and such. Burr to my thin "Mexican Blood".
Tomorrow I am excited to see the Alamo and riverwalk and such.

I did sleep well last night which was needed and fell asleep like at 9pm so was up at 5am....

So nice to be back in the states. We love our little part of Mexico and the Mexican people but it's fun to not have to speak my "Spanglish" so much.

Today I had a yummy meal on plan in the car that I have to remember. I sliced up a cucumber, opened a can of Kirkland white tuna, and sliced up an avocado and made little appetizers...very yummy and satisfying. And filling.

Tonight we will find somewhere to eat out that hopefully will be Gluten free friendly but again being the the states I can at least communicate better about that.

I made a mistake in yesterday's blog...we are only here for one night and around 3 pm tomorrow we head to a dear friends house in Houston and that is where we will stay for two nights.

I do hope you all are doing well.
I am happy to report that I am feeling good. Praying that I continue to do so.

Cheers to all of you...have a great evening

It is so much fun to visit the US now and then and be awed at the abundance of everything.. Of course in Texas everything is bigger LOL
We lived in the Houston area for 6 years and loved it - have a great time!

Welcome back to the good ole US of A! Glad you made it safe. I was in San Antonio many years ago (as a teen). I went to the Alamo and did a paddle boat down the river. I'm sure it's changed a whole bunch and would love to go back again. Hope you have a fun time there.
