September 2, 1914-March 18, 2014
Resident of San Jose
My dad died last Tuesday and God, do I miss him. He was one of the most friendly and good natured men. Hi s stated goal was to leave everyone he met with a smile and most of the time he met his goal. Even nurses in the hospital said they loved having him as a patient.
He left me a life of love and a full awareness of the fact that a positive look on life and a good sense of humor will help you live an amazingly long life. He died at the age of 99 after a return of the weakening effects of myasthenia gravis. If you have a few extra dollars consider giving to the foundation for this awful disease. He also instilled in me a love of hockey as you can guess from some of pictures
Thank God he died while unconscious so with no pain and surrounded by our family. I've been swamped with cleanup of his home, and taking care of legal details so not a ton of time for sparking. His death kind of coincided with my 2 year maintenance anniversary so I haven't gotten a chance to thank everybody for the goodies and comments but I do appreciate them.
Donations in my dad's
name may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of California ; myasthenia-ca.org/index.
