Taking a breather

I have been on The Plan since February 1st and I am fairly happy where my weight is right now. I would like to be a few pounds less but for now I am taking a little breather and relax my program a little.
This time of year is when a lot of the winter people go back to Canada and the US and there are lots of events saying goodbye to them all. It is hard to stick with a program when there are so many social occasions...
So my plan for these weeks is to relax a little eat what I want within reason at those events and have plan days in between. So far it is working :) My weight is keeping pretty steady around 137.5 and I have set my panic point at 140 - when it gets to that it's back with the program and lose a bit.
In another few weeks our little town will be a lot quieter again and there will be enough time to get with it in a more serious manner.
So for now it's party time! As long as I stay away from wheat I should be ok.

    good for you to take a break. enjoy it.
our town too will lose many of the snowbirds but we won't be there to notice for awhile.
we are actually looking forward to missing the hot days which really aren't that bad. just april and may and can get to 100 but not too often and with no humidity.

    Life is for enjoyment, not restrictions. Enjoy your party days, and enjoy your days on plan. They will balance each other out. Stressing about it would only tip things in the wrong direction. Sounds like you are making excellent level headed choices for a healthy lifestyle.

    I agree. There are times that we must just live and stop thinking only of our scale. I have seen how well you have done for several years. I know that you will stay near the weight you are now. But live and enjoy during this time.
