Day 84

Monday, March 24, 2014

It's been a while since I've blogged. I've worked lots of hours at both jobs, survived parent-teacher conferences on all six kids, sick hubby and kids, and plenty of other things I can't remember right now.

The most fun thing to report is I had my first shopping day alone with my younger daughter, Bridget, on Saturday. We left the house about 10am and didn't get home until after 8pm. I brought my apples for snacks. I looked up restaurants online to plan our lunch. We started at Kohl's. Bridget informed me that none of her shorts fit from last year. We got her a whole summer wardrobe at Kohl's. I've learned from experience that when I find Bermuda shorts, I buy them. My girls DO NOT wear short shorts. I found a couple of blouses for myself there, but had fun trying on dresses. I'm going to wait a few weeks before investing in a dress.

After Kohl's, we had lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse. I had a 6oz filet and asparagus, along with some coffee. Bridget had some pretty good looking chicken tenders. If I ate fried food, I would have liked them. I let Bridget have all the bread too.

After lunch, we were ready for the mall. I found a nice infinity scarf (purple/pink) at Sears and was able to figure out my size for ordering a Land's End swimsuit. Again, I'll wait a couple weeks to see what my weight does. Bridget found some nice sandals for church. We struck out at JC Penney. I bought Bridget some chocolate, and surprised her by telling her we were getting her ears pierced. She was brave!

After all that, I discovered that Maurice's is not at the mall. Bridget said we could make one more stop. I needed a smaller pair of jeans and wanted the same kind I bought last fall. I tried on some other stuff, but only got the jeans.

I'm done with my HCG drops. I'll report my weight later, after I'm more certain that I'm maintaining. I will start slowly reintroducing more food, very carefully, tomorrow. My exercising is going very well. I'm on day 84 of at least 10min per day of exercise. Most weeks, I'm getting weights done three times per week. I've even started jogging a little which I'm very excited about. My feet and knees don't hurt! Amazing what losing 60 lbs will do!

I'm so excited for you, Chris! You look AWESOME!!!!!! I wish I could emphasize that even more than just with capitals and exclamation marks!!!!!
Sounds like a fun outing with Bridget - it's always fun to have a girls day out. I went for a quick shopping trip with Kyle on Wednesday after school because he needed more dress clothes for his DECA competition. It's not quite the same as shopping time with Sarah. Guys usually just want to get it done and get home (as long as I feed him, too).
    Have a great week.
