I went by the grocery store this last week and they had bundles of tulips to buy. The blossoms hadn't open yet, but I couldn't pass them up. So I put them in water and waited and waited. Low and behold my patience was rewarded this weekend with the burst of color and the promise of Spring to come. It was such a nice feeling to see them sitting there on the piano. I couldn't help but think how easy it would have been to walk right by them in the store because they weren't "finished" and I would have to wait to enjoy them. I think my journey on Sparkpeople is like that. It takes time to see the results, but the wait will be worth it in the end. One day I will look in the mirror and the results will be obvious; one day I will realize that walking two miles is no longer an effort, but an easy, relaxing walk. I will continue this journey one day at a time and remind myself that patience can bring about remarkable results!
