I am stuck. (maybe I should be optimistic that I have been maintaining!?)
But the scales are not moving.

And I want them to go down.

In fact, I am determined that one week from today, I will be down 2 pounds.

I remember back to the SparkCoach challenges that were so helpful on the first part of my journey. Those principles have not changed . . . but I have.

I'm setting up a few short-term challenges, in addition to my other good habits ( minimum 8 glasses of water, 5 fruits & veggies, & 8 hours of sleep)

For the next week,

#1 I will not log in to Spark People until after I have done my first set of fitness challenges.

#2 I will accomplish 3 fitness sets each day.

#3 I will log everything I eat before I prepare or consume it.

By doing this, I know I will roll past that seemingly insurmountable number on the scale that I have been looking at for the past 6 months.

Yes! Wishing you ANYTHING that helps: music, a timer, an alarm that goes off every hour to remind you to move, videos, singing, encouragement!

I haven't started a challenge, but I did start over on Spark Coach at almost the same time you started your Cathy Challenge. I was the most focused and did the best with my weight loss when I first signed up for Spark Coach a year ago. I have felt like I have floundered for months now and really needed something to help me buckle down to the task at hand.

Ever notice how plateaus are hopeful on the way up but frustrating on the way down?

Good plan and maybe try using a measuring tape; scales can get you down. emoticon emoticon

Plateaus are really frustrating... keep doing all the right things, and you will start to lose again.

Love your changes. And then you also may need to relax - you're fighting with your body or vice versa. It will happen.

I think maintaining for 6 months is awesome! I'm afraid I have been going in the wrong direction! We are determined, though, and emoticon
