Wow, not sure what I'm going to do today, I mean now that I've got the basement cleaned up and I can't start staining it (not sure I want to, the wood on the ceiling looks brand new, still....do I really want to ruin that or not?)
The floor, I've looked up how to do what I'd LOVE to do to it, but dang, it's a heck of a lot of work and because we don't have a drain on that side of the basement, I'm not sure how we'd manage. We don't have a shop vac either, so that doesn't help at all. We could do half at a time, but then again you need to buy 2 boxes of the stuff and that's expensive, well around $100/box, not including the sealant, so I'm not sure. It looks beautiful when done....if the right people do it, and it is odorless, unlike paint and other stains. I don't know...I wish it were cheaper to have someone else do it, but it wouldn't be the same going down there and saying, "hey I did this".
We did find a mural we'd love to put on the one wall behind the septic pipes. We want to do that in case we ever have to do anything there, we wouldn't have to be tearing out a "wall". It will also help the area look larger, and will actually go with the paneling my parents had bought us eons ago. (It's a nature paneling.)
Anyway, I sold another NE Patriots jersey, but I have about 12 left to sell, bought them for our son for Christmas and he only took 2 of the ones I bought, so I'm stuck with a bunch of shirts/ jerseys he doesn't want, so am selling them on Ebay. I had them as low as $5 and only one more sold, so I put them back up to $10, figuring I'd just keep them at that level, what the hay, right?
Have a great day, remember to smile, and I'll see you soon.
This is the mural we'd love to get for across from the bottom of the stairs.
