Well, yesterday was my date with my "man-friend". We watched basketball and ate and complained about how much we need to lose weight.
We decided that starting tomorrow, we're going to have a contest to see who can lose the most weight in a month. The loser pays the winner $50. YIKES! When you bring money into it, it's an entirely different deal! Of course, the $50 may not ever change hands, but it's a good incentive either way.
It's also a good way to get me in gear to lose some pounds for my class reunion in July. Thankfully that's still a few months off so I've got some time, but I can't procrastinate! Time seems to go MUCH faster now that I've gotten older!
I've been so horrible these last few weeks about working out. I usually do Zumba on Tuesday nights and Hoops on Thursdays. Well, I've been so busy these last few weeks that I haven't done anything on EITHER of those nights. I've got one more really busy week, but I'll at least be able to do Zumba on Tuesday. Once April hits, my life SHOULD get back to "normal" somewhat. I'm also going to start the Couch to 5K running program. Even though I ran several 5Ks when I lived in Kansas City, my time was always MUCH slower than I would have liked. I'm going to run one on the 4th of July and my goal is to do it between 30-35 minutes. I can definitely run faster if I don't have to lug so much weight around!
Another main issue these past weeks is my eating habits, specifically my return to my soda habit. Even if it is Diet Mountain Dew, my water consumption has suffered greatly because of it. Time to get back on the water wagon...
3 goals for this week:
1. Bed time no later than midnight. (Monday nights are late, so my 11:00 bedtime plan won't work)
2. Drink at least 64 ounces of water every day (if not more).
3. Do SOME form of exercise every day...
We'll see how things are next week.
