Day 268: Realizations

Over this weekend, I've realized something important: this journey is truly up to me and only I alone can change my life and my body. I think I knew this all along, I just needed to step back (and get back on Spark) to realize it.
During the entirety of 2014, I've been up and down with weight, emotions, working out, and making good choices. Thanks to several of my Spark Friends whose blogs I read this morning, I also realized that I need to focus on me and not so much on what's going on around me. When I was truly dedicated to blogging, checking in, and being accountable, I was losing weight consistently. Since then, I've gained and relost the same several pounds for the past 3+ months, and that needs to change!!
I was incredibly inspired by this article posted by Spark Friend STEPH-KNEE that talked about the mental struggle of weight loss and how to be in control of your life.

Today marks a new day. I want to challenge myself to make the rest of this school year better, and finish out strong with healthy eating and other positive lifestyle choices. This begins with going to help mom cut up some veggies to make salsa! I'm giving myself a goal of - not weight loss - but staying focused for the next 2 months. I hope to be writing more blogs and spending more time actually chatting with my Spark Friends. It's time to change my life for good!
