Changing my life one day at a time

Sunday, March 23, 2014

This was a very difficult week for me. I struggled with a nasty cold, In fact I still have it but getting better. I agonized over some personal problems. I disappointed my best friend, As I said it was a bad week.

However with gods help I not only persevered but had a huge weight loss of 5 lbs. some maybe a lot was due to the illness and the challenge this week will be not to give any back as I continue to recover.

My thanks to my spark buddy who kept me motivated.

And praise god for finally getting me to realize it's not what I want but his will. I so struggle with trying to be in control. I finally was able to let go. And as promised I have found peace and now the joy of my weight loss.

I can't remember when the last time I weighed under 230, maybe when I was 30, been a long time. And now within reach of my first major interim goal of 225. HE has given me the joy of accomplishment and knowing Jesus is with me.

Hope all of you are equally blessed.

Bob, wonderful to see a bigger loss in weight. You are blessed that you can see your challenges and persevere. I do hope you continue to feel better as your week unfolds. I have a mini goal this next 2 weeks. I have not seen my doc since I started back to spark last October. I see her in 2 weeks and want to blow her socks off by being 250 #. From 325, she may be shocked. LOL. Anyway I am still doing well and pray you continue on your path to health. You are doing wonderful ! With your great support group and God on your side, how can you not, eh ? TC

It is such a comfort to know that Jesus promised to never leave us or forsake us. All we have to do, when things seem to be out of kilter, is just remember He holds our hand, through it all. God bless. Have a wonderful night and I hope you continue to feel better. emoticon emoticon Judi

So sorry that you've been under the weather, but happy that you dropped that stubborn 5 pounds! What an uplift that must have been after such a week.

Susie is right, good friends understand that we all have our ups and downs. And God always knows what's best for us. He sees the tapestry of life from above, while we only see the knots from below.

Take care. Get better soon. Pickleball awaits!! (And probably Sailor too...)
