Day 2: Roller Skating & Birthday Cake

Sunday, March 23, 2014

My oldest child turned 13 yesterday and today was her birthday party. It was at the roller rink. I had so much fun, you guys! I danced on the rink and sang out loud and did the hokey pokey! I even shook my "behind" all about! I just didn't care who though anything about it! :D

So... my soon-to-be-ex was there and he just confuses me. I haven't lost a pound... but the man was all, "Hello, beautiful!" and i'm like... looking around to see who the heck he's talking to. It was me. What the heck, dude?? I still love him. Or... i should say that i love who i thought he was going to be. This has been hard, but now that i'm back on my "happy pills," i'm feeling much better about the whole thing.

Today i skated for probably 30 minutes total during the 3 hours we were there. It was perhaps even longer, but i'd rather estimate on the lower end. Then before bed, i did a 20 minute workout: half light aerobics and half strength training.

Anyway... day 2 down for my Seven Days Challenge. In the past, i would have very easily convinced myself to relax with a drink and play Sims. Instead, i worked out and about to sleep. Ahh... precious sleep!

See you tomorrow!

Thanks, lady. I appreciate the advice. He's a confusing man anyway... i'll just let him do his thing and i'll do mine. I can't wait to do my workout today.

Good for you for working out. As for your ex, glad he gave you positives. Don't let it confuse you, though. I remember when my first husband and I were in the throes of separating and he would come calling with flowers and compliments. Guys do separation in a whole, weird way - or so I believe!!

Have a great week!
