First weekend - Monday is my b'day!! Yeah me, I love birthdays :) Go ahead, ask how old, go ahead, I know you want to know. I'll be 54. I feel great, I feel young, I can't believe I'm "that old"! Now if only I was as thin as I was 25 years ago - but hey, that's why I'm here. My husband is a great cook and will cook me whatever I want. Tomorrow I requested a roasted chicken with roasted root veggies and either asparagus or broccoli. Honestly, I weigh in on Sunday mornings so I want to save my really good meal for then. My really good meal is deadly (well for this plan anyway, but I'll work it in). I have requested sausage, broccoli rabe, clams, and oriecchetti with a nice loaf of bread. I also want cake. I want a poke cake - yellow cake and chocolate pudding (and not low sugar/low fat pudding, I want pudding). I know, bad, but, I will work all this in to the plan for the week.
Next weekend I have a weekend planned away with some girlfriends. We do this once a year at our bungalow out East. I normally plan the dinner. This year I planned a healthy meal. Whole wheat spaghetti, tomatoes, beans, and broccoli rabe. I will forgo the bread. We normally start off with picky food in the afternoon. I am bringing good stuff for me. Breakfast will probably be fruit, that's what all the girls normally like.
So my birthday weekend is going to be tough, but manageable - I will make it that way, and the girls weekend will be way too much fun, but healthy meals planned!
I really don't look forward to the scale after either weekend, but I will do my best! If I don't lose, hopefully I will at least maintain.
