Feel better!

Friday, March 21, 2014

Woohoo! I am finally starting to feel better! I was not feeling so great yesterday afternoon and made the decision to just stay home from dance class and let my body rest, and I think that really helped. I also spent at least 30 minutes straight blowing my nose - no lie. But I could finally breathe. I am still congested, but in better spirits, breathing out of my nose! I am also not feeling exhausted today. Guess resting helped a ton.

There was so drama at work yesterday, sort of. I got a phone call from one of my bosses in which I was accused of having a conversation that I dont remember having or dont think I would have ever had, but it apparently caused some sort of commottion. If I had had the conversation, I would admit to it, but for the life of me I cannot picture a situation in which that conversation would have taken place. :/ I was pretty stressed about it yesterday. But I cant dwell on it. Whatever happens, happens.

Our conference attendance approval finally came this morning, so I am officially heading to Huntsville, Alabama on Monday to attend the National Child Abuse Symposium. Not super looking forward to it, but I am sure it will be interesting. The weather forecast is not calling for weather above 55 degrees there all week, which is kind of a bummer. I was hoping for maybe some weather in the 60s or 70s! Such is life. I have a bunch of friends who will be at the conference as well, so at least I will have some socialization time.

Planning to go for a short run after work today now that I am feeling better. Then a long run either tomorrow or Sunday. Plan to get some quilting done this weekend, lots of laundry, and packing for the trip, of course. Otherwise lots of resting. While away for the trip, I am hoping to get in at least 2 runs during the week. The hotel has a small gym with treadmills. Not sure what the area near the hotel will be like, so depending on the weather, maybe a run outside. And planning to make good decisions about food, but since I am not sure what will be available, will have to play it by ear!

Hope everyone has a good weekend, and thanks for the well wishes.

I'm glad you're finally feeling better! Sorry about the difficulties at work - I hope they're resolved soon.

Enjoy your Alabama trip - I'm just sorry you won't have better weather. Even in the South you never know what you'll get in Spring.

Go Fuchsias!

Yeah! So glad you're feeling better. Besides getting some rest, I'll bet getting your nose clear so you could breathe really helped.

Huntsville is great. The weather has been nice but not stabilized for Spring yet. Very cold mornings and evenings but very nice days. There's lots of choices for food fare there too. There's lots of trails too. One of my favorite is Monte Sano State Park. Have fun!

Be careful that you don't over do it. I have been struggling with a bad cold and hope to return to the gym monday.

Good luck.
