Gwen (3 year old granddaughter who I keep 4-6 days a week) is much, much better. She's eating and sleeping and wanting to play. Runny nose is about her only complaint now. Relief!

I enjoyed the Senior Dance this morning. My friend who power walked with me Monday showed up with pictures of me in the Senior Games walking events. I didn't even know her boyfriend had taken the pictures. Perhaps I'll scan them so I can post them to a blog, timely or not.

This afternoon I went to the Y and did the SP Intermediate Running Speed Program on the treadmill. It was a challenge although I did finish it. I'm definitely not as fast as I was a year ago, but I'm working on it. Truly it is more important to me to be fit than fast, but I'd like to be both. I know I have to be careful as injury from speed work is not what I want. And as far as fall prevention, I go to the eye doctor tomorrow and hope to get glasses that will help me see where I am running better.

Last thing I want to share today is that I decided to change my attitude about the scale and -- voila! -- I changed my attitude. Haven't weighed in several days despite the fact that I've been eating smart and feeling a bit more slender than last week. I don't have to see it on the scale. I know I'm doing fine!! Hope you are, too.
