Emotional Day...

Thursday, March 20, 2014

Found out on yesterday that a girlfriend was rushed to the hospital after she wasn't feeling well at work. They soon discovered that she had an Aneurysm that had burst in her brain. That same day her condition was was critical but she was breathing own her own. Overnight she had to be placed on a ventilator. Hours later her body started to shut down and shortly after that she passed away. She has a daughter and son, both in their twenties, two younger sisters and her mom and dad. They r are very close knit family, so much so that they all work together in their family pharmacy. I am really in a low place this morning because this is truly making me realize that tomorrow is not promised to any of us. I just talked to her a couple of days ago and now she us gone at just 54 years old. I lost my own mother when I was just 23 years old and it was the most devastating thing ever. It took me years to make it to the tiger side of my grief. My heart is so heavy for my friends daughter because a young girl walking through womanhood without her mother is just awful, it almost destroyed me! #brokenhearted

Yes, I have learned to not ignore that headache that won't go away after taking something for it. I've known several people who have passed away from ignoring the headache and have the clot burst in their head. One friend had the terrible headache and went right away to the ER. They were able to determine that the clot was there but they caught it before it had a chance to burst and he made it out of that scary situation ok. Most of the time that terrible headache is the worst one you've ever had and nausea/vomiting happens along with it. If you ever experience that please go the the Emergency Room asap and don't go to sleep.

I am so sorry to read about the loss of your friend! My very close friend (55 years old with a husband and 3 kids in their 20's) just passed away 2 weeks ago from cancer. It is shocking and so very, very sad to lose a friend so suddenly and at (seemingly) such a young age, and to see their loving families go through such pain. I've been so sad, that I have not even blogged about what happened...until mentioning it now when I stumbled across your blog. Thoughts are with you and her family.

so sorry to hear about your friend. In January my best friend died of a massive heart attack, leaving behind two sons. She was 53 on 1/9 and died on 1/26. I have a very empty spot in my heart and miss her every day. You are correct in saying there might not be a tomorrow. We have to make every day count. My prayers are with you and the family.
