Minimalism and Thriving

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

That is most of my wardrobe in this picture. My coat & pj's are missing.
There is 4 pair of pants, 4 shirts, 1 hoodie type thing (only without an actually hood),
1 pair of purple slippers, 1 pair of white shoes and 1 blue beachtowel.

This last weekend, I found myself homeless again. Yeah that seems to be the story of my life, but it's one that I always seem to survive and bounce back from.
Monday I got an email about a new job in AZ. A job that includes housing. It's in an isolated area but at least it will be a place to call home.

I will have to buy black pants & black shoes next week for the new job. But 4 shirts and 4 pants for a "off work" wardrobe means less to travel with, less to wash in the laundry and less to hang in a closet. Oh hell, all my belongings now fit in 1 bag so I don't really need a closet.

Wow, that is very minimalist. I have few material belongings but lots of clothes.

I wish you the best with your job application. Does housing go with the job?
Keep us updated, we are all with you on this journey.
I have downsized my life too, not nearly as successful at it as you are though.

Hope your new job works out for you. More of us could do with less. They say sometimes less is more. Blessings... emoticon

You are doing wonderfully well in appreciating what you HAVE as opposed to what you DON'T.

I hope your next move helps you to thrive even more!
