Another Week Done.

Can I just start by saying that I really love my Spark friends? All of you are the best!

Here is my report on March goals for this past week.


-500 fitness minutes a week ~ *hangs head in shame* I only made it to 385 for the week. So short, but on the other hand I do feel that I forced myself to get out and exercise several times when I would have rather skipped it. And while not completely worn out, I felt like I worked hard this past week and that is good for something.


-Track food 5 days a week ~ I think I missed one dinner during the five weekdays that I tracked. Not too bad.

-Some kind of strength training every day ~ This was 4 out of 7. Still not good. Definitely need to improve this next week.

-Dress up nicely every day ~ Again, I hit it most days, but I still want to do a better job on my hair and make-up every day.

-Get together with a friend at least once a week ~ I would consider myself successful on this. While I didn't do something with a friend on my own, my hubby and I attended a managersí dinner for his work on Monday, a dinner with a regional manager for his work on Wednesday and met up with our daughter and some friends after the funeral on Saturday. So I wasn't anti-social at all. Just have to work on girl time now!

-Lots of de-cluttering at home~ I was able to get several cupboards and drawers cleaned out and organized. Love having spotless cupboards and drawers! Still lots to do though!

-Paint 1 room in house ~ Tried one paint sample, but think it is too dark and too purple. So, I bought another sample yesterday and will see how I like it. I am hoping to settle on a color so I can buy the paint and have it waiting in case I get a spare evening in the next week.

-Blog updates at least once a week ~ Ta da! Here is it! Three weeks in a row. Miracles do still happen!

I am still enjoying my new routine of "interval fasting" with nothing but water and coffee between 8 pm and noon the next day. Long term I don't know how it is going to work, but I still feel good. And there is a certain sense of accomplishment when you say "no" to yourself and make it that long without food. And I find myself thinking a little more about what I eat later in the day. The whole "....do I really want to undo what I have already accomplished today....?" question comes into play.

The spring break activities start on Wednesday this week. It is going to be a very busy week and a half with both girls home for most of it. Lots of rich food too! But I am determined to stay on track as much as possible.

I also need to get better at taking photos during the week! My pickings are slim this week.


Is it wrong to love it when I am dripping with sweat after a workout?

    A. No it isn't wrong about the sweat! That's when you know you're really making it worth it! Woot!

    B. I love this blog. It screams of things I should be doing. We all should be doing. Dressing nicely every day.....I love love love this idea. I swear looking nice makes me think twice about screwing up. I think you just feel better about yourself and it's easier to remember to take good care of yourself.

    I would not be too upset about 385 minutes, that's still a lot! Love the sweaty pic and I definitely agree it feels awesome to be dripping in it...it feels like an accomplishment! Sounds like you're doing awesome with your goals. Enjoy your time with the girls!

    I've also been testing the waters of fasting and really like it for the same reasons you mentioned above. It has helped me curb my evening snacking and has also given me a little bit of confidence in that I can tell myself no instead of indulging like I used it.
