Three more pounds...

I weighed in a day early and found to my delight, I lost three pounds this week! I put on my uniform for school and I was able to close the jacket...with no pulling at my chest! This journey has been so amazing an profound with some ups and downs and a few learning experiences. I am only about 6 weeks in and I'm down 12 pounds, and into an area of weight that I haven't seen in years. I feel so confident that I will be able to keep this up...the more healthy food I eat, the less hungry I am. If you had told me two months ago that I would be losing steady weight, without feeling miserable and deprived all the time, I would have called you a liar. I look forward to eating, and make an effort to keep my meals as delicious as possible and I know that has been part of the keystone in my current success.

I am also happy that I have managed to quit smoking. I guess it's been about three weeks now, and I've only had a craving once...which I was able to get past. I think I'm on my way to a permanent healthier me...
