So, I know I'm halfway through the month already, but let's pretend I had the insight and attitude to be able to start this on the first of the month, okay?! We have to start where we start, right?
Two days ago I added a new fitness challenge to the fridge. (Every few weeks for the past several months, I add a fitness challenge for the family to compete in. It started as a way to keep my youngest going when wrestling was getting a bit hard, but it helps to keep all of us focused on the goal of staying active and fit.) The new goal is to workout as many times between now and the end of the month. There is one circle per day, and to fill it you have to do at least 30 minutes of activity - that can be split up if needed, but it has to be at least 30 minutes total. Now, this is more of a challenge for me than my boys considering Ethan is doing conditioning nearly every day after school and will soon add baseball practices at least a few nights a week. Logan is doing track, so at least 3 nights a week he's going to be running with his track buddies. I'm the one with nothing organized and no one pushing me on, so I'm challenging myself to at least try to keep up with my boys.
So, this morning I decided I might as well set out my goals every month like I used to, and then recap at the beginning of the next month to see what I got right and where I went wrong. It worked before...let's hope I can keep it going again this time - and this time for GOOD!
Starting Weight: 420
Weight Goal: 418 (-2 pounds)
Food Goal: Log every day!
Food Goal 2: No donuts or cookies!
Fitness Goal 1: Workout at least 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes a day.
Fitness Goal 2: Start looking into Walking a Half plans and start building stamina to start a program.
DRINK 8 GLASSES OF WATER EVERY DAY! (I cannot tell you how hard this has been since my work is smack dab in the middle of where the water crisis happened here in WV and I still don't trust the stuff for drinking!)
Personal Goals: Get photography website DONE and UP! Save $100 toward new lens purchase!
Those should be reasonable goals. I'm still working on a lot of personal stuff. We're not out of the woods yet, but we had a good weekend this weekend after a horrible week last week. Maybe if I can refocus myself to these goals, we can keep it going.
