96 Days Until Summer - Back on track!

Monday, March 17, 2014

Yesterday I was back on track with my 100 Day Goals.

115 minutes of fitness as clocked by Spark Tracker made me feel better about the big goose egg the day before.

Went to the gym with my DH and I wore my weighted vest while I walk/jogged on the treadmill. I love my weighted vest as it makes me feel like I'm doing more with the often limited time I have to be at the gym. Or if I'm just walking, walking with the extra weight makes me feel like it "counts" more.

I love being strong!

Elements of fun?

I only had one really.

I rediscovered Army Jodies which I had downloaded a while back, but then tucked into a separate music folder on my iPod.

My favorite is called ‘My Old Granny” and makes me laugh.

Army Jodies pace me at a nice, slow, steady jog; my “forever” pace. Plus it makes me feel bad ass to be cheered on by what I imagine is a big group of burly and fit men who will YELL at me if I stop or slow them down.

So, try them out sometime.

Here is a link to the whole CD you can listen to before you download from iTunes or I would imagine Amazon or where ever else you get your downloads.

It's 28 minutes long, but you'll get the picture.

Days Until Summer. Let's keep finding the fun...

Well that WAS fun. I'm constantly amazed by how many different fitness tools and toys there are. I never would have thought to look for cadences.

YaY You, for all those fitness minutes. Well done.

(I got to get me one of them spark trackers ...)

Happy St Patrick's Day! Three days until spring! Was a great day to be outside today. When your workout buddy is furry and never says no it's easy to get out there.
Got my lesson plan done for my ESL class tomorrow so I'm all set.

I'm loving your countdown. And today it finally clicked why I'm resisting the 100 days... And what I want to do about it.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything at the moment, so a 100-day commitment (even to myself!) is too big. But I strongly feel that I want to commit to something...

For the rest of March, my commitment is to daily meditation. It feels like an achievable goal, AND it's a goal that will help with the overall overwhelmed feeling.
