My Sunday

Monday, March 17, 2014

It was a good day, over all. It rained nearly all day! I slacked off this morning. Some of you may know of my goal to workout each morning. It's been going really well. In fact, it's such a commitment now that if I do miss it, I have no trouble making it up later in the day. Also, breaking up the fitness into 20-30 minute increments has also helped get about an hour in each day.

We went to Applebee's for brunch. I tried the chicken and shrimp tequila tango. It's an 870 calorie dish, so I made sure to take part of it home, which I had for lunch with a cup of honeydew melon after shopping. If I get it again, I'll ask them to put the creamy sauce on the side. That way, I can sample some of the flavor while limiting some calories. For dinner, we had Italian meatball subs on a whole wheat roll. Next time, I'd like to make the meatballs and sauce for comparison. Baby steps!

I'm ordering a pair of shoes online. I've been reluctant to do it because I prefer to try them on, especially if I'm trying a new brand. I have two pair of Asics, one I really love and one not so much. I'm going to try a pair of Ryka this time. I guess they specialize in women's shoes. I suppose that's a plus. Though, even in our own gender, there are many variables! I have a pair of those Sketcher Shape Ups. They're like new, so I wore them shopping and my arch was killing me by the time we finished! Now I remember why I don't wear them! Do you have a favorite brand/model of shoe? It's funny, but the "model" matters these days! There's so many to choose from!!
I started writing this yesterday, but the evening got away from me. Now, it's time to kickoff my Monday with Jillian's 6 week 6 pack!

Don't shoot me, but Sketcher's ShapeUps are my favorite walking shoes. Which just proves we are all different!!

I love my Nikes too. They just seem to fit better and hold up longer than others I've tried.

I have a pair of Brooks that I got from a running store. They fit really well and give me a lot of stability. Good Luck on the shoes...shoe shopping is hard. Hopefully the company has a free returns!

    Good morning!
I love my Nikes. I've tried other brands, but keep coming back to them. I feel like they are worth the $$ and the comfort since I put since serious miles on them.
Keep up with the workouts, and finding the balance with the calories. With warmer weather coming up things should get easier. And there's nothing like a dose of Jillian to get you going!
